Get to know your new Mastercard payment card. It is modern, respectful of nature and has an extended validity.

What you need to know about card replacement

The replacement of current corporate debit and credit cards begins August 2024 and will take place until June 2025.

You will receive information in advance that a new card is on the way via SMS to the contact phone number, or by push notification in mobile banking.

The basic setup of the new card will remain the same as the current one, the limits and accounts attached to the card do not change.

The PIN remains the same.

  • Your card is made with nature in mind, from recycled materials.
  • Your card has an extended validity of up to 5 years. This means that less plastic is used and less waste is generated.
  • With your Mastercard, you too can help the environment. How? Just activate it and start using it as soon as you receive it. By using your card, you support the planting of trees in the Czech Republic.
  • During the years 2024 and 2025 for every CZK 10,000 paid with the card online or in a brick-andmortar store, we will plant one tree up to a maximum of 10,000.
  • In the Czech Republic, this will be for the restoration of floodplain, hornbeam and maple forests, cherry, plum and pear avenues and orchards as well as individual cherry, apple and pear trees and shrubs in small Czech and Moravian villages.

Card activation

For security reasons, you will receive your new card as inactive by regular mail. To start using it, you need to activate it.

Card validity

Activate your new debit or credit card as soon as possible. Note that 35 days after activating your new card, your current card will no longer be valid. If you do not activate your new card, the original card will be automatically blocked within two (2) months after the new card is issued.

How to activate your card

At a merchant

Insert your card into the payment terminal and confirm your first purchase at the merchant by entering your PIN. The card will then be activated.

At an ATM

At UniCredit Bank's ATM, perform any transaction that requires you to enter a PIN, e.g., cash withdrawal or balance inquiry. Your PIN remains the same as your current card.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

With your new card, you can still pay with your smartphone or watch. You just need to set up the new card again in the Apple Pay or Google Pay wallets.
Note that the original card will not be deleted or automatically updated. You need to remove the original card and add a new card.
If you don't yet use Apple Pay or Google Pay, just register your card for these services.

Subscription services (Netflix / Youtube / Spotify / Bolt / Uber / Voyo / and more)

If you use the card to pay for prepaid services such as streaming platforms or other recurring payments, you must remove the original card and add a new one at each service provider.
Some companies allow you to update your payment method (e.g. Netflix). Just log in to your account and update.
If the subscription is connected to an Apple ID (e.g. Apple Music) or a Google account, the subscription will also be automatically updated.
Apple ID – you can update the card in the settings section (payments and delivery), click on the payment card, the edit button. Then enter the new card and confirm with Done.

News in additional services

The new travel insurance provider is Allianz Partners.

The most important changes:

  • In selected insurance variants, we are increasing the insurance limits and adjusting the price:
    Insurance scope and limits of travel insurance valid from 1 August 2024
  • We are cancelling Basic and Basic & Plus travel insurance for Business Standard and Business Flexible cards.

  • No age limit;
  • No travel restrictions;
  • Summer and winter sports insurance is also included; and
  • Coverage for up to 90 days from the moment you went abroad.

The insurance offers comprehensive insurance protection in case of damage, theft, loss or fraudulent use of your payment card, identity documents or personal belongings.
