Other bonds

Our bank is able to arrange for you the purchase of bonds of other issuers from the Czech Republic as well as from abroad in primary auctions and in the secondary market. Depending on your preferences, you may select an investment or speculative-grade bond. You are free to choose between government or corporate bonds.

Government bonds - primary market

UniCredit Bank is the primary dealer in the government and treasury bond market. UniCredit Bank clients have the opportunity to participate through the bank in primary auctions of the Czech government and treasury bonds. The calendar of the auction is published by the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic on the Ministry’s web pages.

  • Government bonds are subscribed in an American auction in which each successful client subscribes bonds at the price quoted by them.
  • Treasury bonds are subscribed in a Dutch auction at the price corresponding to the price of the last accepted bid.
  • Those who wish to take part in primary auctions must have the infrastructure for security settlement and custody.

Government bonds - secondary market

UnicCredit Bank is the market maker in the secondary market with bonds which can be purchased or sold through the bank.

  • Those who wish to take part in secondary trading with bonds must have the infrastructure for security settlement and custody.
