With Apple Pay you pay quickly and easily with your phone or watch. All you have to do is attach the device to a terminal that supports contactless payments and confirm with Touch ID or Face ID.

How do I add a MasterCard?

  1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone and press the + button. Apple pay
  2. Take a picture of your card, fill in the missing card details manually and press Agree.

  3. Enter the code from the received SMS into Wallet.

  4. Done. You're ready to pay.

If you have a renewed payment card, remove the original payment card from your Apple Pay wallet and add a new card as described above.


How to add a VISA card?

  1. Open the Smart Banking app on your iPhone and go to the payment card.
  2. Press the Add to Apple Wallet button and press Next.
  3. Confirm your acceptance of Apple's terms and conditions.
  4. Done. You're ready to pay.

If you have a renewed payment card, remove the original payment card from your Apple Pay wallet and add a new card as described above.

How to pay?

 
  1. Simply hold your finger on the fingerprint scanner, put your phone to the payment terminal and the payment is made.

  2. For the latest models, you can use FACE ID. You press the side button twice in a row, look at the display, and when the phone recognizes your face, it prompts you to bring it to the terminal.

  3. To pay with Apple Watch, simply press the right watch button twice and hold it up to the payment terminal when it vibrates.

What cards can I add to Apple Pay?
All debit Mastercards and Visa issued by UniCredit Bank in the Czech Republic, excluding Maestro cards and Visa Electron. Apple Pay is also available from 4 December 2019 for all Visa credit cards.

Is the pay-by-phone service free of charge?
The bank charges no fee for this service.

 

Do I need to have Internet access on my phone to pay Apple Pay?
No. You only need to access the Internet when you add the card to Apple Pay. However, if you do not connect to the Internet for a long time, the payment may not be made correctly. Therefore, we recommend that you connect to the Internet from time to time to make sure that your payment is smooth and easy with Apple Pay.


What payments can I make with Apple Pay?
You can make payments through Apple Pay on payment terminals that receive contactless payments. You can also pay for it in a mobile vendor or e-shop application, if they allow payments with Apple Pay.

 

What I have to do, if I can't pay with Apple Pay?
Make sure the tab in Wallet is active and set as the default. Check the card expiration date. If the card is past due, you must re-add the new card to Apple Pay. If you haven't been connected to the Internet for a long time, it may have been that your payment has not been paired. It is therefore necessary to reconnect to the Internet in order to pair additional payments correctly. If you still have difficulty paying Apple Pay, please call Client Center 800 14 00 14.


What should I do if I have lost or stolen my device?
Call our customer Client Center 800 14 00 14 and permanently or temporarily block your Apple Pay cards. You can also enable "Lost" in "Find iPhone" on iCloud.com. You can continue to use your plastic cards in your wallet, and they will not be misused.


When paying with Apple Pay, the phone requires authorization for payments below CZK 500.
Apple Pay always requires payment verification according to the chosen method of unlocking your phone (fingerprint, PIN or Face ID).


Can I withdraw cash with my mobile at ATM?
Yes, this service is only active on Mastercards. You can choose when the ATM has a contactless reader. The ATM will ask you for a PIN that is the same as your plastic card and you will enter it on your ATM keyboard.


During the payment with Apple Pay, the terminal asked me to enter a PIN code
In rare cases, the terminal may request a PIN. The PIN on the card added to Apple Pay is the same as on the plastic card.


Will I see transactions made with Apple Pay in transaction history?
Yes. You will see the transactions in Internet Banking or in the Smart Banking application and in the statement. You will also see them in Wallet.


Is it possible to add one card to several mobile devices?
Yes, you can add the same card to more mobile or other Apple devices. The maximum number of devices is 8.


How do I add a card to Apple Watch?
After pairing Apple Watch with iPhone, you start the Watch app and select "Wallet and Apple Pay". Then select "Add Credit / Debit Card" to continue adding the card. During the operation, you may be prompted to confirm the operation with a one-time SMS code.


How to delete a card from Apple Watch?
You can do this in the "Watch" environment available for iPhone.
Select the "i" icon to symbolize the information. Remove the card from the list of available cards.


How do I remove an Apple Pay card?
You can do this in Wallet, as well as on our Client Center 800 14 00 14. In a special case, you can delete the contents of your device (using the "Find My iPhone" application) on iCloud.com. All cards added to Apple Pay will be removed from the device even if the device is offline.


If I temporarily or permanently block a plastic card, will I be able to pay Apple Pay, where will I have a card added?
No. Temporary or permanent blocking of the plastic card will also block the card recorded in Apple Pay, so even with Apple Pay (mobile, watch) I will not pay. Any change to the plastic card also affects the card loaded in Apple Pay.


Payment was denied at the payment terminal, but my mobile device showed me that it was completed when I paid. Was the payment made or not?
An Apple user can be notified of a completed payment regardless of whether or not it has been made. The most important is the payment terminal's payment information and confirmation.


Can I add the removed Apple Pay card to Wallet again?
Yes, you can add the same card to Apple Pay again.


What is the default card?
This is a preset card that you pay with Apple Pay.

Can I change my default tab in Wallet?
Yes. Slide the tab you want to pay to the top of the screen. It will appear first on the main screen in Wallet.


What happens when I update or exchange my phone?

Updating your phone does not affect Apple Pay cards in Wallet. However, if you replace your phone, you need to re-add it to Wallet.

How to add a MasterCard?

  1. Download the Google Pay™ application from the Google Play store on your mobile device.
    Get in on Google Pay
  2. Scan your Mastercard or Visa payment card to the application and type in the requested payment information. Enter the code from the SMS sent to you in the Google Pay™ application.

  3. Done. Now you are ready to make payments in places marked with the contactless payment logo.

If you have a renewed payment card, remove the original payment card from Google Pay Wallet and add a new card as above. 

If the original card cannot be removed from Google Pay, it is probably registered as a payment method for a subscription (Netflix, YouTube, etc.), then log in to your google account, go to Payment Methods/Payment methods, select the payment card you want to update, edit the card, and then the new card will go into Google Pay as per the procedure above.

  • Payments up to CZK 500
    Just activate the screen of your smartphone and then tap the phone to the payment terminal. In this case, you do not have to unlock the screen.
 
  • Payments over CZK 500
    When you pay larger amounts, for your safety you need to unlock the screen with your password or fingerprint and then tap the phone to the payment terminal.
    When your payment is accepted, confirmation will appear on your phone.
 
  • Online Payments
    You can also pay with Google Pay™ in merchant mobile apps or e-shops if the merchants support this service. You don't need to manually enter your payment information.
    Nowadays it is possible to pay in more than 14 000 e-shops.

Which cards can I add to Google Pay™?

What should I do if I cannot pay with Google Pay™?

Make sure your card is active in Google Pay™ and set as default. Check the card’s expiry date. If your card has expired, you must add a new card to Google Pay™. If you haven’t connected to the Internet with your device for a long time, your payment might not be processed. You must reconnect to the Internet in order to correctly process further payments. If you are still experiencing trouble paying with Google Pay™, call our customer line 800 14 00 14.

Is the pay-by-phone service free of charge?

Are pay-by-phone payments secure?

Yes, they are. For payments, Google Pay™ uses an encrypted card number that is not stored in your phone. To ensure payment security, your phone must be protected with an access password.

What should I do if I lose my device or if it is stolen?

Call our customer line 800 14 00 14 and we will permanently or temporarily block the cards you have added to Google Pay™. Using your Google account, log into the Android Device Manager, locate your device and then block it remotely. In this way, you do not need to cancel your card.

When I pay with Google Pay™, my phone requires authorisation for payments below CZK 500.

If you do not unlock your phone for three consecutive payments, your phone’s screen will prompt you to unlock the phone and re-tap it to the payment terminal as you make your fourth transaction.

Can I withdraw cash from an ATM using my smartphone?

Yes, this service is active on Mastercards and VISA. You can choose when the ATM has a contactless reader. The ATM will ask you for a PIN that is the same as your plastic card and you will enter it on your ATM keyboard.

When I paid with Google Pay™, the terminal prompted me to enter my PIN.

In special cases, terminals may request a PIN code. The PIN when you pay with Google Pay™ is the same as the PIN for the plastic card.

Will the transactions made with Google Pay™ be displayed in my transaction history?

Yes, they will. The transactions will be displayed in your Internet Banking or Smart Banking mobile application and in your account statement. They will also be displayed in the Google Pay™ app.

Can I add the same card to several mobile devices?

Yes, you can add the same card to a maximum of five Google mobile or other devices.

How do I remove a card from Google Pay™?

You can remove your card directly in the Google Pay™ app or by calling our customer line 800 14 00 14.  If you remove a card from Google Pay™, it does not cancel your standard plastic card.

If I temporarily or permanently block a plastic card, will I still be able to pay with Google Pay™ on a device with that card added?

No, you won’t. If you temporarily or permanently block your plastic card, it will be blocked in Google Pay™ as well, and you will not be able to make payments with Google Pay™ (smartphone). Any change to the plastic card also affects the card added to Google Pay™.

Can I add a card I removed from Google Pay™ to my app again?

Yes, you can add the same card to Google Pay™ again.

What is the default card?

It is the main card you use when you pay with Google Pay™.

What happens if I update my phone or buy a new one?

Updating your phone does not affect the cards in the Google Pay™ app. However, if you buy a new phone, you must again add the cards to the Google Pay™ app on your new device.
